3/1 Went and looked at a job, went to
contractors breakfast, and moved equipment.

3/2/07 Starting a New Pond

Back to it on monday.
3/4/07
Going to quarry for a few
days after monday.
I go here tuesday.

3/6/07 Worked on a layer of cap
rock at the quarry loading it
onto his trucks. It makes good
rip-rap. It went from a nice layer
to more of a hard crust that won't
come loose. They decided to
shoot (blast) the rest of the cap rock.

3/7/07 Took a couple pics of loading
the holes and of the shot.
It sure wasn't a nice flat layer all over.
3/8/07 Couple hours at the quarry
and finished up on the cap rock.
Have a couple of unfinished blade
jobs from thanksgiving, first time
it's been dry enough so atacked that
this aft (used manual receiver,
have sent bladepro for service).
Back to quarry monday
to help get the dirt out.
3/9/07 Field work
Had been to wet since thanksgiving
3/12/07 Dug overburden.
On the side were pushing the
dirt out of there was to much mud
for the dozer to lay back the
sides and push out the dirt.
So I bring the dirt up out of the
bottom and the dozer shoves it off.
Also took a picture of the cap
rock we hauled off the top.
I think some of the pile was there.
3/13 At the quarry. Hope to get done
tomorrow
3/14 Got done at quarry.
3/15 Went back to work on pond1.
3/16 pond1 is shy on dirt
and long on rock.
3/17 Principal spillway
and emergency spillway.
3/18 Trees in my pond for baby bluegill.
Got draignage around house
3/19 Check dam elevation in morning.
Should be close. Then will topsoil.
3/21 Dam is up. Topsoiled.
Was raining. Rip-rapped
face of dam with rock out of
pond, should look nice
when pond fills and washes
dirt and mud off of rocks.
Was able to do it for several
hundred, so seemed well
worth it.
The bottom is cleaned out
clean just getting the
4000 cu. yds needed, so there
wasn't any free habitat to leave.
3/24 Went to Texas to see
Lad and go to a PondBoss
convention. Lad had to get his dozer
calibrated, Monty took me to the ranch.
The convention was fun too.
3/26 500 yd core, 4500 yd embankment.
Smoothed up some, moved dozer, then it rained.
3/28 Kind of a long video of pond2, was a long day.
3/29 Got to work at dark, was trying to rain.
Finished up at noon in the rain.
3/30 No earthmoving. Move dozer to next
pond or work on it monday.
4/2 Started pond 3. Moved dozer, stripped
topsoil, and got core almost done.
4/3 Finished core on pond 3. Filled core,
installed 2" stock pipe.
4/4 Pushed.
4/5 Put in 8" principal spillway pipe.
Dug emergency spillway. Pushed.
(Switched to 700 kbs for better quality)
4/8 Would like to see what this guy was
going to move.
4/9 Pond 3. Went behind the dam and
pushed out some rock to rip rap the face
with. Pics of pond 3.
4/14 Working on miantenance since finished
pond 3. Has been wet. Fixing track adjuster
on left side, still need to do
right side.
Also pulled the rod and head on the tilt
cylinder, needs a new rod and sealed.
4/14/07 Snow this morning, gone this afternoon.
